Sin Slayers The First Sin Free Prologue Coming to Steam

The brain child of the small indie studio Goonswarm, Sin Slayers: The First Sin, is getting a free demo on Steam on April 11th. Once it’s out, you’ll be able to play the prologue chapter of the game. According to the press release provided by the devs, you’ll get a feel of all the game’s basic mechanics, as well as the game’s setting, the Valley of the Fallen Sinners. The demo will let you kill a bunch of enemies, including some bosses, like the first Sin Lord, test out five characters, lift curses, help lost souls, and more. So, yeah, based on the press release, it seems like the demo will give you a pretty good feel of the game.

With that out of the way, let’s get to know Sin Slayers a bit better. The game describes itself as “an RPG with roguelike elements set in a dark fantasy world, where your choices determine how challenging the fights and enemies will be.” From what I can tell, it seems like it has a bit of a Darkest Dungeon feel to it, just much less Lovecraft and more pixel art and fantasy.

If you’re still on the fence, you can check out the Kickstarter video below to see the game in action and perhaps get some extra info. And, you can also check out the Sin Slayers: The First Sin Steam page. You might just like it. And, with the free demo coming up, you can try it out with basically nothing to lose. Up to you; I haven’t tried it, so I can’t recommend it nor knock it down.
