The Witcher Monster Slayer AR Mobile Game Now Out

Who among us hasn’t played Pokemon Go and wished that the cute creatures were hideous monsters and that, instead of catching them, you need to brutally and efficiently end their lives? Or, more likely, how many of us were waist-deep in The Witcher 3 and secretly wished that it were happening in real life? Well, if you fit either of those profiles, then The Witcher: Monster Slayer might be the game for you. Here are a few features it promises, as per the press release:

  • Track your targets – Use real-time weather conditions, time of day, and all your witcher senses to hunt monsters living around you.
  • Explore advanced Augmented Reality – Make the dark fantasy world of the Witcher your reality with AR features that change your perception of places you thought you knew.
  • Embark on adventures – Experience quests that propel you through deep, story-driven adventures inspired by the Witcher series.
  • Gather trophies from fallen foes – Defeat dozens of different beasts and grow a collection worthy of a true monster slayer.

If any of that tickles your fancy, then you can pick up The Witcher: Monster Slayer here, or on the app store of your preferred mobile device. Those of you that log into the game before July 28th at 11:59 PM CEST will get the Kaer Morhen Steel Sword in your inventory. It increases the amount of Experience Points you get from killing monsters by 10%, which sounds pretty handy.
