Nier Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition Coming in February

The launch date of the game-of-the-year edition of Nier Automata has been confirmed. Cheekily titled Game of the YoRHa edition, it will launch in late February next year, on PC and PlayStation 4. Both versions are going to include a bunch of extra content. This will include the 3C3C1D119440927 expansion, the Machine Mask accessory, and plenty more. No mention of an Xbox version just yet. Might come in the future, though; who knows.

Nier Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition Coming in February

Just a day ago, a tweet from the Nier Automata Twitter account confirmed that a game of the year edition of Nier Automata was in the works. At the time, no further details were made public. Well, as DualShockers reports, Nier Automata: Game of the YoRHa edition is coming out some time on February 26th 2019. Not only that, but, like any good Game of the Year edition, it’s going to contain extra content that the base game didn’t ship with. Specifically, it comes with the 3C3C1D119440927 expansion, the Machine Mask accessory, and four Pod designs: Cardboard, vintage gray, vintage red, and Grimoire Weiss.

If that weren’t enough, those of you that purchase the Game of the YoRHa edition on the PS4, you’ll get a dynamic theme, a Pod console skin, fifteen avatars, and more. Plus, the SP4 version will also have a physical version. Steam customers are going to get two wallpapers with their edition. Yes, it’s less than you’d like, probably, but oh well. You’ll notice that an Xbox One version is conspicuously missing. That’s because the report makes no mention of it. On the bright side, Nier Automata didn’t come out on Xbox until June this year, over a year since it originally launched. Maybe the Game of the YoRHa edition will come out on Xbox later on.

Nier Automata originally launched in March 2017, to rave reviews from critics and gamers alike, ending up on a number of lists of 2017’s best games. On the surface a game about robots set in the post-apocalypse, it slowly unfurls into so much more. By all accounts, this one is well-worth a spin. I know I’ll be getting my hands on it when the Game of the YoRHa edition comes out.
