As part of the Pokemon GO Fest 2023, a new Pokemon is arriving to the game. It is none other than Diancie, the Rock/Fairy dual-type Mythic Pokemon. First introduced in Generation VI, it is finally making its official Pokemon GO debut. Even better, its Mega Evolution form – Mega Diancie – is also going to be available. So if you are interested in learning how to get Diancie and Mega Diancie in the Pokemon GO Fest Global 2023, and whether or not they can be Shiny, this guide is here to answer all of those questions, and more.

How to Get Diancie and Mega Diancie Pokemon GO Fest Global

If you have purchased a Pokemon Go Fest 2023 ticket, you will be given Special Research when you log into the game. Completing this Special Research between Firday, August 18th, 2023, at 9 AM your Local Time, until Sunday, August 20th, 2023, at 7 PM your Local Time will allow to get an encounter with Diancie and then later Mega Evolve it into Mega Diancie. Also, note that you need to physically be at that New York location at that time in order to do this. It consists of five stages, with various tasks that you need to do.

Also, you need to be aware that, in case you have already received your Diancie and Mega Diancie from this event in Osaka or London, then you won’t be able to get another one from New York.

Can Diancie Be Shiny in Pokemon GO

Sadly, Diancie and Mega Diancie cannot be Shiny in Pokemon GO. At least as of right now. Of course, it’s always possible that their Shiny versions are going to be released at a later date.
