Pokemon GO New Legendary Bird Zapdos is Now Available

Niantic is keeping the Pokemon GO ball rolling this summer. After the introduction of Legendary Pokemon, two of them, Articuno and Moltres, have already left the battlefield. The newest addition is Zapdos, which will be available from August 7th to August 14th. Its arrival was announced via the official Pokemon GO Twitter account. Lugia, the first legendary bird that entered the fray, is still around. Ho-Oh, the last legendary bird of the bunch, should be arriving sometime soon. However, Niantic still has to reveal the exact date when that will happen.

Needless to say, like all other Pokemon of its kind, Zapdos is incredibly hard to bring down. Makes sense; it is a legendary, after all. You’ll probably need at least seven or so fellow trainers with strong Pokemon to defeat it. Even if you do manage to come out victorious, there’s no guarantee that you’ll actually be able to catch Zapdos. The game won’t give you that many opportunities, so you’d better make every throw count. The catch rate seems pretty meager, as usual. I don’t need to tell you to use those Berries as best you can to raise your odds, at least a little bit. Good luck out there.

In other Pokemon GO news, Kangaskhan and Unown will be appearing in select cities around Europe. All the way until August 21st, trainers will be able to add these super-rare Pokemon (at least on European soil) to their Pokedex.
