Pokemon GO Rowlet Spotlight Hour 2023

The Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour events are usually a good opportunity to catch the shiny version of the featured Pokemon, but we’ll get into the problem with Rowlet in the next section. Let’s first talk about the event itself. The Spotlight Hour is going to take place on Tuesday, March 14th 2023 from 6 PM to 7 PM local server time. As always, there is an event bonus, and this time around it will be double Evolution XP. That means you’ll get twice the XP for every Pokemon you evolve, not just Rowlet. That said, the event is a good opportunity to evolve Dartix and Decidueye. Just catch as many Rowlets as you can and send them to the professor for more Candy.

Can Rowlet be Shiny in Pokemon GO

No, Rowlet can’t be shiny in Pokemon GO, so if that was your goal for the 2023 Spotlight Hour, you can safely ignore the event this week. I mean, the double Evolution XP for one hour might be nice, especially if you don’t run into Rowlets very often. Datrix and Deciudeye are not the most engaging Pokemon to have, but hey, they’re nothing to sneeze at either. Rowlets are fairly rare where I live, so this Spotlight Hour is going to be pretty useful for me. Other than that, though, there’s not much to it. Hopefully Niantic will add a shiny Rowlet some day, because I love the adorable little owl.
