Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus Strawberry Milkshake Trailer Released

Bethesda has released a new trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The video is called Strawberry Milkshake, and it gives us an extended look at a cutscene that we got to see in the E3 2017 trailer. It’s the scene when a Nazi commander walks into a diner and orders a strawberry milkshake, then start to interrogate BJ Blazkowicz. Needless to say, it gets pretty intense.

There’s a new cinematic trailer out for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. We get a nice, long look at a segment that Bethesda showed us during their E3 2017 reveal trailer. Incidentally, that was my absolute favorite moment from the whole video. The whole scene unfolds almost like something out of a Tarantino movie, and I do not make that comparison lightly.

As the video begins, we see the protagonist, BJ Blazkowicz, walk into an old-school diner. He sits at the bar, as a mother is forcing her son to practice speaking German. It emphasizes the oppressive atmosphere of the Nazi occupation of the United States. One of our allies reveals, via earpiece, that we’re carrying a nuclear bomb. Then, just as the mother is getting ready to order, a Nazi officer comes in. The mother quickly pushes her kid out, even though the officer appears to be an epitome of benevolence.

The officer then orders a strawberry milkshake and compliments Blazkowicz on his Aryan face. Then, the scene slowly becomes more sinister, as the Nazi commander, seemingly jokingly, remarks that the diner’s menu should be more German. He then asks for your papers, which are, of course, forged. You’re masquerading as a firefighter from Station 6. The commander asks you where exactly that station is. He seems so friendly, but it’s very clear that he thinks you’re lying. It reminded me a lot of Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds.

The tension is broken when the commander gets a call to immediately report to higher-ups. He turns around to leave. He then sees a wanted poster of Blazkowicz. He turns around, whips out his gun, the video cuts to black, and a gunshot is heard. It’s awesome. You can check out the full video below.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus comes out on October 27th. For more information about the game, check out our Wolfenstein 2 Preorder Bonus & Season Pass Detailed and other articles.
