Where to Find Child Leviathan Fossil Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Gerudo’s Colossal Fossil Guide
Once you talk with Loone near East Akkala Stable, she’ll tell you about her plans to see the fossil of a third extinct Leviathan in the Gerudo region. This will start the “Gerudo’s Colossal Fossil” side quest. You will meet with Loone again inside the Gerudo Great Skeleton cave. That’s where the Leviathan skeleton is located. Talk with Loone there, and she will suggest that the smaller head must be of a child Leviathan. She would love to see both the parent and the child together. Hence, she will ask you if you could find the Child Leviathan Fossil. So, where is the fossil of the Child Leviathan in Zelda TOTK?
The good news is that “Gerudo’s Colossal Fossil” is inside the very same cave! You will need to find the two pieces of the skeleton – the tail and the body. The tail can be found in the back of the cave, near a small pond, below the massive Leviathan’s skeleton. The tail is covered with several mounds of sand. Check out our image below for the exact location. You will need to use a nearby Zonai fan to blow off the sand of the tail. Bring the tail near the child’s head, and now let’s search for the body.
For the body, you’ll need to use Ascend below the huge skeleton to reach its upper part. Once on its back, check out the ceiling, and you can see a small part of the skeleton protruding behind the rocks there. Blow up the stones with explosive arrows (fuse with Flower Bombs), and the small skeleton will fall to the ground. Finally, use the Ultrahand ability to connect the head with the body, and the body with the tail. When done, talk with Loone, and she will reward you with 50 rupees.
