How to Use Vow of Tulin in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

So, to begin with, let us see how you will be able to acquire this very useful ability in the first place. You are going to unlock it by completing the “Tulin of Rito Village” quest. On a side note, if you are puzzled because Tulin has disappeared during this quest, we have a solution for this problem. This will give you the TOTK Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind ability. Its description reads: “Proof of the vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind. Use it to summon or dismiss the avatar of Tulin.”

  1. One very important tip: if you are using it for the first time, you have to be far away from the Rito Village before you can activate it.
  2. From the Key Items tab in your Inventory select “Vow of Tulin”.
  3. In order to use “Vow of Tulin”, you have to press A to get ready, then A again to actually activate it.

Basically, the Vow of Tulin has two uses – in combat and during exploration. If you use it in combat, the gust of wind that Tulin creates can knock back smaller enemies. This can be situationally useful, but by far the best use of this ability is for exploration purposes. Namely, when you are gliding and use this power, Tulin is going to blow a powerful gust of wind that is going to propel you and give you a short burst of speed. Using this, you will be able to move much more quickly while gliding and to reach areas that you otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. Lastly, the same as with other Vows, you won’t be able to use this in settlements. Lastly, if you find that the Vow of Tulin is not working, we recommend that you read our Can’t Summon Here Fix guide for a solution.

Zelda ToTK Vow of Tulin Not Working

If the Vow of Tulin is still not working for you, the most likely reason why that is because you’ve got the Vow of Tulin key item disabled. To re-enable it, press the + button. From there, look for a green orb and then select the Vow of Tulin and press Summon. Doing this should then fix this and you will be able to activate and use the Vow of Tulin.
