Then, during the morning, search for the Star Fragments somewhere on the beaches of your island (there should be more than one). Now, meteor showers and falling stars are very rare, and happen only at night, of course. Isabelle will let you know if there will be a meteor shower that night, so make sure to tune into her morning program every single day.

Now, to wish on a shooting star, make sure that you’re holding nothing in your hands. Hold Up on the left stick to get a good look at the sky. If at all possible, try to not have a bunch of trees or houses or other stuff in the way. Then, while holding Up on the left stick, press the A button to make a wish. If you did everything correctly, the shooting star above you will glow a little stronger and get a bit bigger. The next day, all that’s left to do is search the beaches for the Star Fragments.

You’ll need three regular Star Fragments and one Large Star Fragment. That seems like a lot, but one meteor shower should get you enough different Star Fragments for the Magic Wand.

But what does the Magic Wand in ACNH do exactly? Change your clothes instantly. That’s it. If you stand in front of your closet with the wand, you can put together eight different outfits. You can change between them by a simple flick of the wand (you have to be holding the wand to do that, of course). It’s not much, but it will save you from having to backtrack to your home whenever you want to change clothes.
