Animal Crossing New Horizons Balloon Presents – How to Get?

To get the Balloon Presents floating around in Animal Crossing New Horizons, the first step is to get the Slingshot. To do that, we first purchased the recipe for the Slingshot from Timmy at Nook’s Corner. It’ll cost you 300 Bells, so come prepared. They might also have the Slingshot in stock, but we got it via recipe. Once you buy it, study the recipe from your inventory to learn how to make the Slingshot. Then, go back into Nook’s Corner and use the Crafting Bench to make the Slingshot (you’ll need 5 Hardwood when it comes to materials).

Now that you have the Slingshot, it’s time to hunt down a Balloon Present. They seem to appear about every ten minutes, on minute one; so, say, 15:01, 15:11, 15:21 etc. When you spot one floating around, you have to place yourself properly. You have to stand closer to the camera than the balloon is, and stand a little in front of it on its trajectory. Then, take aim into the sky and wait for the balloon to come in front of you. Fire as soon as it does. You might need several tries to get the timing down, but don’t worry, you’ll figure it out quickly.

So, that’s that when it comes to getting Balloon Presents in Animal Crossing New Horizons. If you need further assistance, check out some of our other guides for the game. We’ve written DIY Recipes & Crafting, How to Use Camera & Find Pictures, and Co-op – Local, Online Multiplayer, among others.
