So, you’re gonna have to go from person to person until you find the correct one. Talk with each inhabitant and ask them if they dropped the item. Once you do locate the villager that lost the item, and return the book to them, you’ll get a gift as a reward. These can range from furniture, resources, clothes etc. The only real thing that presents a problem is that you have to search every person to find the one you’re looking for. The only real help that we can give you is that, if the Lost Item is near a house, the villager living in that house is probably the one that lost it. Other than that, you’re on your own. At least you’ll only find Lost Items about once or twice a week.
