Though it only consists of two movies (so far, that is), Avatar has firmly cemented itself as one of the most successful film franchises of all time. Taking place on the planet Pandora, it follows the conflict between humans and the native Na’vi population. It should come as no surprise that this setting has massive video gaming potential, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is Ubisoft’s big budget open world entry to the frachise. In fact, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora recently had its release date and gameplay reveal, and we are going to go over all the most important details concerning the game right here.
When is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Going to Release
The official release date for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is December 7th, 2023 – on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Amazon Luna. Of course, it’s always possible that this is going to be postoponed to a later date. Though, as this is a big project that has a lot riding on it, we think that this release date is a pretty safe bet. In any case, the gameplay reveal has given us a lot of info about what the game is going to be like.
In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, we are going to take on the role of a young Na’vi that has been raised by humans. As such, they are proficient in using both human and Na’vi weaponry and tools. This means that you are going to be able to shoot with a rifle one moment, and with a bow the next. Of course, flying on native creatures is also in, and will allow you to explore the never-before-seen Western Frontier at your leisure. This open world action-adventure looks like it is going to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait until December to give it a spin.
