BG3 Patch 5 Release Date
Larian Studios is well-known for devoting a lot of time to patching their games. Like Divinity: Original Sin 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 is no different in this regard. Since it is an absolutely massive game with lots of different options, features, and other moving parts, it’s an unfortunate fact that there are bound to be a lot of bugs as well. But Larian have done a fine job of squishing most of these. With every new patch, the game is become more bug-free and stable. And the latest upcoming patch is Patch #5. So here’s when you can expect the BG3 Patch 5 Release Date.
When is BG3 Patch 5 Coming Out?
According to a recent tweet from the devs themselves, Patch 5 for Baldur’s Gate III is expected to release sometime this week. As it is the middle of the week already, this leaves Thursday, November 30th, and Friday, December 1st, 2023, as the most likely release date candidates. Previous patches usually dropped either on Thursdays, or on Fridays, so it stands to reason that Patch #5 is going to follow the same template.
As for what we can expect to see in Patch 5, the full list still hasn’t been revealed. Still, a couple of things have been confirmed so far. This includes a fix to Astarion’s kiss animations. So you will once again be able to smooch it up with everybody’s favorite Vampire Spawn. Patch 4 introduced a bug that causes crime detection system slowdowns, and Patch 5 is set to fix this as well. Also, and this is a major one, this latest patch is expected to drastically improve Act 3. As this Act is by far the most problematic and buggy, it is going to be great to have it be more stable and less prone to things such as crashes. And with undoubtedly many more minor fixes that haven’t been revealed yet, this is another excellent patch to look forward to.
