How to Get Positive Reputation in Baldur’s Gate 3 Stop the Presses

To get a positive reputation from the newspapers in the Stop the Presses quest in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to find the printing press and substitute in a positive article. You can’t just go for any other plate; that can still cause you to lose reputation. There’s a grand total of three articles you can use. In the second room in the basement of Baldur’s Mouth, at the coordinates X: 1021, Y: 1068, you’ll find an article about a cute cat. It’s on the desk; use the Highlight Item button to find it more easily. The second article (about making money trading with adventurers) is in the wastebasket in the same room as the cat article. Article #3 is on the shelf right behind the press. Do not even touch any other plate. Interact with the printing press and place one of the positive articles instead.

The next step to get a positive reputation in the Stop the Presses quest in Baldur’s Gate 3 or BG3 is to sneak back out of the building. Oh, speaking of, getting to and from the press is tricky, because there are guards. However, two potions of invisibility will let you basically run to and fro with zero issues. After replacing the article, head back to your camp and have a long rest. Then, check the updated quest to see if you did everything properly. While I’m on the subject, feel free to save-scum throughout the whole quest lest the guards bust you. Also, you’ll even get a bit extra at the printing press you already released the pixie from the Moonlight Lamp. Yes, of course the printing press is powered by magic, what did you expect?
