Since buying it can be expensive, the best way is to setup efficient beer production early on in the game. We chose to do it in Velia, one of the best beer cooking locations. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to craft beer in Black Desert Online.

If you are planning on starting production of certain items, such as wagons or armor, solid beer production is a must – it could be expensive to buy beer off the marketplace, which would reduce your profits.

Black Desert Beer Crafting

The beer recipe is fairly simple, all you need is:
  • Wheat, Potato, Corn or Barley x5 (no mixing – single plant for single batch)
  • Mineral water x6 (30 silver/piece)
  • Sugar x1 (20 silver)
  • Leaving agent x2 (20 silver/piece)
Everything except the plants can be bought in any major city. In Velia, enter the Inn at the center of the town and talk to Chef David Finto.

In order to cook, you’ll have to buy a residence and equip it with the right tools. We suggest buying No.2-1 – at 1CP, it’s the cheapest one. Buy multiple Cooking Utensils and put them in your house. You’ll also need lodging for workers – Rooms 1-3 No.1 are great for this (3 CP).

You’ll have to invest contribution points in the surrounding nodes in order to get the necessary plants:
  • Loggia Farm – Logia Farm Potato Farming (4 CP)
  • Bartali Farm – Bartali Farm Potato Farming (4 CP)
  • Finto Farm – Finto Farm Potato Farming (4 CP)
  • Toscani Farm – Toscani Farm – Corn Farming x2 (6 CP)
velia beer crafting node locationsTo start your brewing adventure, you’ll need to invest 6 contribution points. You’ll need 22 to upgrade your brewery all the way. With these 5 nodes, you will have a big supply of potato and corn in your warehouse. If you recently started playing or don’t have enough contribution points, you don’t need to invest in all 5 vegetable nodes at once. As you workers gain experience and level up over time, you will get even more vegetables.

Beer Brewing Tips

Note that as your character gains cooking experience you have a chance to get multiple beers for one recipe. When you reach Skilled level in cooking, you will also have a random chance of getting Cool Draft Beer which has slightly higher stats than the standard one.

To speed up your cooking production, you should consider getting the Silver Embroidered Cook’s Clothes. Here are its stats:

    thanks

Thanks for the guide, but it doesn’t work.
You only get 1 free lodging, and there’s only those 3 lodging spots available, so you can only get 4 workers, making it impossible to run all 5 farms.

you can stack multiple lodges together
ie Velia room 1-1,1-2,1-3 all set to maxed lodging would provide you with +5 workers, thus giving you a 6 worker cap

I wanted to post this not only to validate this great guide, but to clear up any confusion for new players
