Where is Ranked Game Mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

With the start of Season 2 in Modern Warfare 2, we’re finally getting the long-awaited Ranked Play mode. Here you will be able to test your mettle and see your skill level compared to other COD players. The mode is based on the Call of Duty League. This includes everything from the 4v4 format to all official modes, maps, rules, and more. So, where is the ranked playlist in MW2? Given that it is a new addition into the game, the Ranked Play mode is currently under the “What’s Hot” tab in the main menu. Check out our featured image to see where exactly you need to lock.

However, remember that the ranked playlist is not immediately available for everyone. It goes without saying, but it is not a free mode. Rather, you will need to have MW2 purchased in order to have it available. Second, you will need to have at least Player Level 16 in order to be able to play this mode. Players below this level will have Ranked locked. Finally, it seems that there’s currently a bug which prevents some players from seeing the Ranked Mode in their menu. If that’s the case with you, try restarting the game to see if that helps. Logging in and out of your Activision account might also help fix this issue.
