The “Account Name Warning” in Modern Warfare 2 has been plaguing MW2 and Warzone 2 players in recent weeks. Unfortunately, the main reason behind this is the simple fact that COD games have an automated report system. This is due to the sheer number of players and reports. It would be impossible for human workers to manually check every report. Instead, if people report a player enough times for a specific issue, the system will flag them for that issue. As a result, you’re receiving the “MW2 Account Name Warning Username Offensive” message due to mass reporting by a few people who got angry.

Consequently, angry players abuse the report system to flag people falsely. If you think you’ve been wrongfully reported, you can file a ticket with Activision support. Unfortunately, they are usually relatively slow to process all complaints. Hence, you will probably need to wait a while until they resolve your ticket.
