It can also only be done a handful of times. The same NPC offers you the chance to change your appearance, if you want to. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to respec in Dark Souls 3, where to find the NPC that lets you do it.

How to reallocate attributes & change appearance in Dark Souls 3

You’ll need to find an NPC called Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth. Talking to her will let you join her covenant, Rosaria’s Fingers. When you talk to her after receiving the covenant item, she’ll offer you the options to reset your skill points and change your appearance. You don’t need to level up the covenant bond or anything – just ask her.

You can only do each of these 5 times per playthrough, and you’ll have to pay for each operation one Pale Tongue.

Where to find Rosaria

She can be found in the Cathedral of the Deep, near the Cleansing Church bonfire. If you’ve already visited her, she’ll have her own bonfire.

Go left from the chapel and ride the elevator up. Exit and walk the ledge to get to the ladder. Climb up and jump through the hole in the wall, onto the narrow roof. Use it to get to the large building, then turn right. Make a left when you first get the chance, and enter the castle. Go to the other side of the arches and jump down onto the terrace. Jump again to get to the ground. Turn left and look for a door in the far right corner. Climb the stairs, turn left and look for a grand closed door. Rosaria will be behind them.

How come I can’t light her bonfire?

    1. Y

You probably had an invading spirit at the time you tried to light it. Or, there was an enemy too close by.

curious and confused. I went to reset my skills for the first time and it only took one of my pale tongues. But according to this and other sites it’s supposed to cost 5 the first time?

    1. Y

You can only get a max of 5 pale tongues in the game. For every time you respec it costs one pale tongue. So you can respec only 5 times throughout your game. Editor seems to have made a mistake.

you get a pale tongue everytime you invade and kill someone no limit.

I think what he is trying to say is that you receive only 5 throughout the gameplay. You can get more with pvp but they provide you with only 5 for the reason of respec.

When I reallocate my skill points do my level go down then i have to farm some more to xp back to my normal level?

    1. A

Nope. You stay at your same level and xp. All it does is let you move the skill points around

I’m a little confused. Weeks/months before the DLC came out, I ran out of reallocation things. As in, I already did all five of them. But when the DLC came out, and some new cool weapons came around, I wanted to change my skills a bit to match the stats required/weapon’s scaling. I forgot that I ran out of the reallocations, but I came to Rosaria anyway. I knew I used some, at least. But I forgot I used all of them. Then, something unexpected happened. I was able to reallocate 5 more times again… Why though? How come I was able to do 5 more reallocations even though I ran out of them? Does winning invasions do it? Or do you wait for more? Or does offering pale tongues give you more possible reallocations? Explanation?

can I reset my attributes more than 5 times

Dude, be more specific with your walkthrough. Jesus.
