Dying Light 2 AMA Video Reveals New Story & World Details

The developers of Dying Light 2, Techland, have released a new AMA video, in which they answer fan questions about the upcoming game. In the video, they discuss a number of subjects, mainly revolving around story elements, details about the open world, and the like. Of course, they don’t go into any real spoilers, but do tread lightly if you want to go into the game 100% blind.

Dying Light 2 AMA Video Reveals New Story & World Details

Now, as some of you probably know, Dying Light 2 takes place fifteen years after the first one. As a result, many things will be different. For one, you’ll be playing with a brand new character called Aiden, who has to go on his own journey of parkour over the heads of undead hordes. On his way, you will meet new characters, develop relationships, and make moral choices that will shape your Aiden over the course of the game.

None of this means that the past won’t have an influence on the events of the new game. On the contrary, according to the devs, the events of the first Dying Light will absolutely play some kind of part. That’s also goes for GRE, the ultimate fate of which you’ll have to discover by exploring their abandoned bunkers and reading their files and the like. So, while it’s been a decade and a half, Aiden lives in a world where the first game very much happened, if you get what I mean.

Now, with all of that said, we still don’t know when exactly we can expect to see Dying Light 2 on the shelves, digital or physical. All we know is that the game is coming out some time this year. Once it does, I’d imagine it’ll be available on PC, Xbox One and Series X, and PlayStation 4 and 5. In the meantime, check out the AMA video below to whet your appetite further. However, again, if you want to go into the game completely blind, I’d recommend skipping it for now.
