Samca Resident Evil 8 – How to Defeat a Samca with a Landmine in the Story – Down to Earth Challenge

To defeat an RE8 Samca with a landmine in the story and complete the Down to Earth challenge, you basically have to place a mine on the ground and then bait the monster to land on it. Samcas do fly around, but if you stay relatively put, they will get down low enough to trigger the mine. In short, wait for a Samca to fly down to your level, place down a mine, and then kite the winged beast onto the mine. It takes some practice, but you’ll get it eventually.

If you don’t know what a Resident Evil 8 Samca is for the Down to Earth challenge, they are the winged flying creatures with long tongues that you first meet on the rooftops of Castle Dimitrescu. You’ll meet them later on in the village in several places, such as the Fallow Plot, as well as in Moreau’s Laboratory. You can use the mine to kill a Samca in any of these places, but there is one thing that you can’t do. You won’t complete the challenge if you shoot the mine and defeat the beast that way. It has to trigger the weapon by itself.

So, that’s how you defeat a Resident Evil 8 Samca with a Landmine in the Story and complete the Down to Earth challenge.
