Far Cry 5 All Endings - Resist, Walk Away & Secret Alternative Ending

There are three endings in Far Cry 5. Two of them depend on a choice you make during a conversation with the main villain near the end. The third one is secret, and pretty easily attainable. If you don’t have the time or the patience to play through all three on your own, you’ll be glad to know we’re going to talk about them in our Far Cry 5 all endings guide.

Far Cry 5 All Endings – Resist, Walk Away & Secret Alternative Ending

Resist – True Ending

If you refuse the Father’s generous offer to live and let live, you’re going to have to fight him. He’s pretty tanky, and the messy green stuff from the barrels will only make matters worse. You’ll have to revive your buddies as the fight progresses, and they’ll come in handy – both as more guns, and someone to revive you when you get shot to death.

Once you’ve dealt with Joseph, you’ll arrest him, at which point a warning siren will start wailing. The first bomb will go off, and you’ll have to drive to Dutch’s bunker before the rest explode. You’ll crash along the way, losing consciousness. When you come to, you’ll be tied up in the bunker, with Dutch’s corpse on the floor in front of you. Joseph will explain what’s happening, and adopt you.

Walk Away – Bad Ending

If you choose to walk away, Joseph will stay true to his word and let you leave. You’ll get in a truck with your companions and hit the road. They’ll discuss what to do next – the sheriff wants to call the National Guard, Pratt wants to run away. As the sheriff turns on the radio, the edges of the screen will turn red. The last thing you’ll hear before the camera cuts to black is the sheriff asking “What’s wrong?”

Secret Ending – How to Complete Far Cry 5 in 10 Minutes

This one is more of a funny easter egg than a real ending. If you’ve played the previous game, you’ll probably expect something like this. In the opening sequence, you’ll ride a helicopter to a church in order to arrest the Father. He won’t resist – when he puts his hands forward for you to cuff him, the game will show you a button prompt to arrest him. If you linger in that scene for a couple of minutes and never press the required button, the sheriff will interject. You’ll simply turn around and walk away, letting the credits roll after no more than 10 minutes of playing.
