FFXV Universe Trailer Breakdown

There’s a new trailer out for Final Fantasy 15, special for the Tokyo Game Show. The video basically encompasses all the extra stuff surrounding the game that has already been released, as well as the upcoming DLCs and other stuff. Probably the most interesting part is the shortest one, interestingly enough. Near the end of the video, we get to see tiny little snippets of the free story update, which will upgrade the game’s story and add additional elements to the game. The video doesn’t reveal much, in fact, we see very little. The video shows us some kind of demon-like creature, Lunafreya as a child, her reuniting tearfully with someone in a field… Whatever Square Enix has in store, hopefully, it will bring more to the, if we’re honest, somewhat threadbare story of the base game.

As for the rest of the video, well, it’s mostly a commercial for all kinds of FFXV stuff. For example, all five episodes of the Brotherhood anime are up for streaming, and the Kingsglaive movie is on sale. We then get a few bits from Episode Gladiolus and Episode Prompto. Episode Ignis is scheduled to launch on December 2017, while the final Episode, the Comrades multiplayer expansion, is coming out on October 31st. Also, the Universe trailer gives us a few glimpses of the Monster of the Deep fishing mode, coming on November 21st, and some other stuff. You can check out the full video below.
