Fortnite Battle Royale Adding “Teams of 20” Limited Time Mode

The new patch for Fortnite, v3.2, is out in the wild, bringing with it new weekly challenges, a new limited time mode in Battle Royale, a bunch of bug fixes, etc. As far as the new weekly challenges go, there are seven of them for you to complete. You need to finish any four of the bunch to earn a reward. Among others, there’s Search chests in Junk Junction, Follow the treasure map found in Snobby Shores, and Land on Different Bullseyes.

However, probably the main draw of this new update is the limited time “Teams of 20” mode. As the name clearly implies, this mode will divide the 100 players into five teams of twenty. Each team will be further divided into five squads of four players. You’ll be able to see your teammates in green on the map, and the map screen will show the total number of people alive in every team. There will be an increased spawn chance of treasure chests and ammo boxes. Additionally, supply drops will always appear in batches of 5, also with an increased drop rate. There will be six Storm Circles instead of nine, and the maximum match length will drop to 23 minutes instead of 25.

There is, like we’ve mentioned above, a bunch of other new stuff in this patch, both for Battle Royale and Save the World mode. There’s a new skin, a new hero for Save the World, hoverboard boost pads, many bug fixes, and more. For more info, you can check out the full patch notes on the official website.
