Birthday challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale are now live, including the Dance in front of different birthday cakes challenge. Unfortunately, it seems that Fortnite BR Birthday Challenges aren’t working for some players, me included. They can find the cakes, but dancing in front of them does nothing, and the game also doesn’t track the damage or games played for the other challenges.

How to Solve Fortnite BR Birthday Challenges Not Appearing Problem

Unfortunately for all of us for whom the Fornite BR Birthday Challenges aren’t working, there doesn’t appear to be any kind of fix for this. I’ve tried rebooting the game, even the launcher (or client, if you will), and, so far nothing has worked. Which isn’t to say that it might not work for you, so you can try it yourself, maybe it helps. If you’ve managed to find an answer to this, please, do let me know in the comments below. As it stands right now, it seems that all we can do is wait for Epic Games to fix this on their end.

By the way, the client and game have updated for me. I know this is the case, because I can absolutely see the birthday cakes, but, as I’ve stated above, they simply don’t work for me. Same goes for the other challenges. It doesn’t track the number of games I’ve played, nor does it track the damage done. Reminder: the other two challenges, aside from dancing at birthday cakes, include dealing 1000 damage and playing fourteen matches. Maybe Epic just hasn’t rolled out the challenges for everyone; I guess that’s possible, but it’s still annoying. That being said, if the challenges are working for you, and you’re having trouble finding the cakes, you can check out the guide linked in the first paragraph for help. The cakes are pretty tricky to find, so you might need the assistance.

UPDATE 1: Epic Games have tweeted that they are aware of the issue, and that the birthday challenges are “currently being deployed to everyone.” So, just buckle down and be patient.

UPDATE 2: Epic Games has provided another update to the situation. According to the latest tweet, the challenges will “arrive when the Store refreshes at 8pm Eastern Time (0000 GMT).” So, there you have it. That’s how long some of us we’ll have to wait for the Birthday Challenges.
