How to Complete Catch a Weapon Using a Fishing Rod Challenge in Fortnite Chapter 2?

To complete the Catch a Weapon Using a Fishing Rod Fortnite Chapter 2 challenge, you’ll, of course, first need to find a Fishing Rod. At the moment, they’re more or less all over the place. You can find them either as a random weapon spawn, or in one of the many barrels that you can find in structures near the water. They’re not that difficult to notice, since they have several fishing rods sticking out of them, jutting into the sky, demanding to be taken.

Once you obtain a fishing rod, head to one of the fishing spots. These appear in the form of circular ripples in any body of water. You’ve probably seen them already, and might have been wondering what those ripples are all about. Well, now you know. Go to one of those places, select the Fishing Rod, and cast the lure by left-clicking. Make sure to hit as close to the center of the ripple circle as you can. Wait for a splash to appear around the lure, and pull it back by left-clicking again.

From there, you’re at the mercy of the gods of RNG. Catching a weapon using a Fishing Rod doesn’t happen very often, so it’s nice that you only have to do it once. If one fishing spot doesn’t grant you a weapon, you’ll just have to move on to the next one and try again. Fortunately, there’s a ton of them, so you’re bound to get a weapon from one sooner or later.
