Release Date & Time Update 1.3 Genshin Impact

The release date for Genshin Impact is, as I’m sure most of you already know, is Wednesday, February 3rd. At least, that’s when maintenance will begin; at 2PM PST / 5 PM EST / 11 PM CET, to be exact. The whole process, according to the developers, should last about five hours. So, yeah, if you want to get technical with it, depending on your time zone, a good number of you will actually only be able to start playing the new content on February 4th. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out on anything major if you don’t start playing the second the update drops.

Now, a few points I have to bring up. The first one is that the precise timings of the implementation of Update 1.3 in Genshin Impact is, as the devs put it, subject to change. In other words, you might experience some hiccups in the game even after the projected five hours have elapsed. Second, as is tradition in Genshin, miHoYo will compensate you with 60 Primogem for every hour that servers are down, adding up to a total of 300. YEe, you will get the full amount even if they wrap maintenance up early.

Lastly, only those of you that reach Adventure Rank 5 or above by the time that preparing for the update starts will be eligible for the compensation. You’ll get your Primogem via in-game mail five hours after maintenance is over. Just keep in mind that the mail will expire after 30 days, so don’t let it sit for too long.
