Ghost Recon: Wildlands Red Dot Live Action Trailer Released

Ghost Recon Wildlands is a game about sitting on a hill. If you don’t read anything about it and just watch the trailers, that’s probably the impression you’ll get. Every single one starts off with people sitting on a hill. The newly released Red Dot live action trailer is no different.

The guys sitting on the hill are actually highly trained special operatives. They’re staking out a cartel safehouse, where three bad guys are playing cards after a hard day of torturing some poor soul. A laser sight attracts the attention of their cat, who starts following the dot around. It climbs onto the table, almost blowing the whole thing wide open. One of the guys smacks it for daring to go up there, which allows the soldiers to quickly take them all out with well placed sniper shots. Guess it pays off to be nice to cats, right?

It’s like most other live action trailers – it isn’t supposed to tell you about the game, just convey a sense of the atmosphere. It does a pretty good job, despite the terrible acting. The downside is that some people are most certainly going to expect cats in the game, as well as being able to play with them using their rifles’ laser sights.

Thankfully, you don’t need trailers to tell you about the game, as it’s going to have a period of beta testing. The date hasn’t been set yet, but it’s coming some time in the next two months. You can register on the official site, to get a chance to try it out for yourself. That’s hands down the best way to help you decide whether you’d enjoy the game or not.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is going to be released on March 7th, on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
