Apex Legends Join Failed, Game Version Does Not Match Host Error Solutions

Usually, this problem occurs the most right after the game has received an update. This happened most recently on February 28th, 2023, but the problem can occur at any time. And while it’s because of some bug or other problem that the devs have introduced, there are a couple of things that you can try to attempt and fix this yourselves. So, to begin with, you should check to see the server status. You can do this here. If the servers are down, then there’s nothing else to do but wait until they’re back up.

And if everything is working correctly on their end, the next thing to do is to restart the device you are playing Apex Legends on. After that, restart your internet router. Turn it off and wait for half a minute or so before turning it back on again. Now you should verify the game file integrity. Start the EA Desktop app, go into Apex Legends, select Manage and then Repair. Note that the person that has created the lobby needs to do this process. If you are still experiencing this error, try changing your region. In the main menu of Apex Legends, go to the Data Center tab. From there, choose another region – preferably one with a low ping.

If you have another account, you can try logging into that one to see if this helps. Finally, you should also try to log out of your account and to log back in. And if none of these have helped, the only other thing that we can recommend is to contact Apex Legends support for further assistance.
