PS4, PC, Xbox Crossplay Switch Friends not Showing on Friend List in Apex Legends

If your friends playing on Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch aren’t showing on your friend list while attempting crossplay on PS4, PC, or Xbox, there’s only one thing you can do. You have to keep searching and refreshing your friends list until they do show up. There’s no need to delete and re-add them, just refresh the list and search for them. Rinse and repeat until the curse is hopefully broken. I know that this isn’t exactly the fix you might be hoping for, but it’s the single solution we’ve come across. If you know of any other workaround, by all means, let us know in the comments below.

Of course, there are a few things that you have to check first before you start the refreshing cycle. For one, everybody needs to have crossplay turned on, especially on the Switch, because plenty of people might have it off by default. To turn crossplay on, go into the Settings menu, and then into gameplay settings. However, this will not necessarily help you see your Switch friend, but it is something you need to double-check, just in case.

That’s basically all we’ve got when it comes to Switch friends not showing on your friends list in Apex Legends. Aside from that, you’ll have to wait for the developers to roll out some kind of patch. It’s a bummer that the Switch people are getting the raw end of the deal here, considering that they just got the chance to play Apex. I know it’s technically growing pains, but this of all things shouldn’t be happening.
