Is there a Selfie Photo Mode in Spider-Man 2?

Let’s not beat around the bush here. Instead, let’s cut straight to the point. To the best of our knowledge, at the game’s launch, there is no selfie camera in Photo Mode in Spider-Man 2. In the original Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4, this feature was available and extremely popular, as fans enjoyed taking selfies in-game from all kinds of crazy locations. In the original PS4 Spider-Man, players can choose between three camera types in Photo Mode: Free Camera, Orbit and Selfie. Unfortunately, for some reason, Spider-Man 2’s Photo Mode features only two types of camera at launch: Free Camera and Orbit. There’s no sign of a selfie camera anywhere in the settings of Photo Mode.

We don’t know the developer’s reasons behind omitting the popular Selfie Mode from Spider-Man 2. Particularly given the huge popularity of this feature among gamers, who were sharing their in-game selfies across social media. Just from a purely marketing perspective, the Spider-Man 2 selfie camera in Photo Mode would be a “free” viral marketing machine for Insomniac Games. Whether it’s for technical reasons or whether they have decided to add this mode later through an update, we hope that in the end, we will still see a selfie camera in the game. The same goes for other missing features, like the JJJ podcast archive. For now, that’s all we know. Nevertheless, we will make sure to update our article once we learn more. Do you have an answer?
