How to Enter Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test

So, how do you gain access to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test? As the name suggests, this first wave of testing comes in a very limited capacity. Hence, there will be no registrations or sign-ups for it. The good news is that it is available today, but the bad news is that Valve is the only one with the power to grant you access. That is, this is an invite-only test. Valve, the game’s developer, is sending invitations for the CS2 Limited Test based on various parameters. As stated in their FAQ for the limited test, here are what factors they will take into consideration when deciding who will be invited:

  • Recent playtime on Valve official servers.
  • Your “trust factor.”
  • Your Steam account standing.

If the CS2 development team deems you worthy of the CS2 Limited Test access, you will be invited. However, how will you know that you are among the chosen ones? “If you are chosen to participate in the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test, you will receive a notification on the main menu of CS:GO,” says the official post. “If you receive an invitation select “ENROLL” and begin your download. When the download is complete launch CS:GO and select the “Limited Test” option to play the CS2 Limited Test.”

If you don’t receive the invite immediately, don’t worry. That doesn’t mean that you won’t be invited eventually. Valve emphasizes that more players will be added to the Limited Test over time. Hence, just keep checking your CS:GO main menu, and hope for the best.
