You Must Be Connected to Battle.net Error in Diablo 2 Resurrected

If you get the You Must Be Connected to Battle.net error in the Diablo 2 Resurrected beta, or even after the game launches officially, it means that the servers are down. There could be a number of reasons for this, but at this stage, it’s probably because the beta hasn’t started yet or has ended already. I know a bunch of you are trying to get into the beta already, and it does start today, but we’re still a few hours away at the time of writing. The open beta will start on August 20th at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT/7PM CEST and end on August 23rd at the same times. You can read more about it in our Diablo 2 Resurrected Beta Time & Dates guide, or by clicking the image below.

If you happen upon this guide in the future and encounter the Diablo 2 Resurrected You Must Be Connected to Battle.net error post-launch, again, the reason is that the servers are down. So, you can’t really do anything about it; you just have to wait for the devs to complete whatever maintenance they’re doing on their end. This happened to EU players during the closed beta. The servers were experiencing issues, and Blizzard turned them off for a while, and they started to get the error. So, long story short, if you encounter this error, it’s most likely server troubles.
