How to Fix Disconnected from Server FH5 – You Have Been Disconnected – Forza Horizon 5

To fix the Forza Horizon 5 disconnected from server “You Have Been Disconnected” error, there are a number of things you can try. However, before we dive in, there is one important thing we have to bring up. Namely, the game’s servers are not doing great at the moment, meaning that the cause of the error might not be on your end. That said, here’s what you can do and try to fix it.

First off, make sure that the game is whitelisted on your antivirus, and that you allowed it through your firewall. Next, check your connection. There are several basic steps to take here. By that, I mean you should power cycle your modem and / or your console or PC, depending on which platform you’re playing on. Also, try switching to an Ethernet cable connection if you’ve been using WiFi.

If you keep getting the Forza Horizon 5 You Have Been Disconnected from Server error message, there are other fixes. For one, you should change your Primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4. Whatever your platform is, go into Settings or Configuration, then into the Network settings, then into DNS Settings > Manual, or whatever it is on your platform. On PC, these settings should be under Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Lastly, you can try to clear the DNS cache and renew IP on PC, but that will probably not be necessary, in my opinion. The fixes listed above will more than likely fix the issue if it’s on your end in the first place.
