Forza Horizon 5 Golden Tlaloc Totem Location - An Item of Extreme Value

Forza Horizon 5 has one trophy named “An Item of Extreme Value” that requires players to find the Golden Tlaloc Totem location. For many players, this has provided some confusion. Some cannot find the location at all. The wording in the mission itself can also make the aim unclear. Read on as we give our guide on how to unlock “An Item of Extreme Value” in Forza Horizon 5.

There are a total of 1000 achievements to complete in Forza Horizon 5. Some of them are much easier to understand than others. One of the more confusing is the trophy titled “An Item of Extreme Value.” This is part of the main mission, the Tulum Expedition.

Within the Tulum Expedition, you have several objectives. One of these is to “Photograph Golden Statue” and it will unlock the trophy “An Item of Extreme Value”. All you need to do is complete it by finding and photographing the Golden Tlaloc Totem.

This is where the first piece of confusion can arise. Many people are looking for a statue. However, it is more of a tall totem you are searching for.

Discover and Photograph Golden Tlaloc Totem – Forza Horizon 5

The first thing you need to do is start the mission. This could be where the second piece of confusion arises. You won’t be able to get the statue in free roam mode and have to be in the mission. Select the Horizon Apex Adventure and pick the first tier titled Tulum Expedition. Drive to the start icon and you can begin the expedition.

Once started, you will travel through a tropical storm and end up in an area filled with ancient ruins. A number of optional objectives will pop up. At the bottom, should be one titled “Photograph the Golden Statue”. This is referring to the Golden Tlaloc Totem.

You will have a small area to explore, making the search easier. However, the statue is not as grand or golden as you may expect, so you do need to look carefully. It is a large totem that has scaffolding around it, to the side of a stone house. You can find it in the video below.

To take your photograph, press up on the d-pad. You can then bring up the camera and snap your picture of the Golden Tlaloc at the right location to get the Forza Horizon 5 trophy. Once you have taken the picture, it should immediately vanish from your checklist. You will get credit for completing it and you can then finish any other optional objectives or carry on with the mission.
