Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Map Not Working

The Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Map is currently not working for some players. This map provides you with the locations of all bonus boards and barn finds in the game. You can buy this map as a DLC. Xbox Fix Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Map

Many players are reporting problems with the map. Some people have purchased it, but when they try to activate it, they are getting sent back to the game. Luckily, there has been an official response for Xbox players.

Open the main map and go to the bottom of the screen for options. You must have purchased the map beforehand. Press Y and it should reveal itself.

PC Fix

Players on PC have it worse. The map is not showing at all. Instead, it tells people to buy it again then shows an error message. There are three fixes you can try for this.

For the first solution, complete some billboards (Fast travel and XP). Then try running a race and finding some new roads. This should activate the treasure map. This is similar to previous Horizon games, where you must play to activate your treasure map.

The second solution is for PC players who also have an Xbox or a kind friend that owns one. It involves using the map on Xbox then resyncing to PC. Log onto your account using an Xbox and unlock the map. You don’t even need your password; you just need to send a link. Then try opening the game on PC.

The final solution is one for people who cannot do the Xbox workaround. Buy the map again using another MS account. Log out of your account, then log in with the new one.

Go back to the game and open the map using Y. Repurchase the treasure map from this menu. Log out of this account then log back into the original one. Of course, this involves buying something you have already paid for.
