How to Get Cape of Happiness in FFXIV

To craft the Cape of Happiness there are a few components you will need. The first is the recipe itself. You also need to be a level 90 weaver, meaning you must already own the Endwalker expansion.

The recipe is in a tome titled Master Weaver IX. It will cost you 1200 White Crafters. You can pick this up from a number of Scrip Exchange merchants throughout Hydaelyn.

Once you have this there are four key components you need to make the cape. Some of them are harder to attain than others. The items are as follows:

  • One Cloth of Happiness
  • Three Ar-Caean Velvet
  • Three Lightning Clusters
  • Three Wind Clusters

You can get the clusters in the standard farming method. The trickiest after this is the Ar-Caean Velvet. For this, you will need multiple AR Caean cotton balls.

Where to Find Cloth of Happiness in FF14

The Cloth of Happiness is the trickiest to find. You need to visit the Excitatron 6000. This is the fairground-themed dungeon that became available in the latest patch. If you don’t already have this, you need to open several coffers which are obtained through the Kumbhiraskin treasure maps. It will take some time. Keep in mind that the cloth is also used by max-level leatherworkers to make some items.

Now you have the cape, you can either wear it or sell it. It does remove the tail of some characters. Selling it brings in a lucrative 800,000 Gil.
