What is Roblox Connect

Roblox Connect is basically a way that you’ll be able to make calls with your Roblox Friends, in which you’ll communicate as two avatars in “immersive” surroundings. It’s basically their answer to Meta, except they’re doing it the smart way. Instead of trying to build a whole metaverse, they’re just letting you pretend that you are hanging out with a friend. It’s basically just a voice call with extra bells and whistles. At the moment, you can only talk with one person at a time, but the developers are working on implementing group calls and other features. But how do you actually make a call? Well…

How to Call People on Roblox

To call people in Roblox, you first have to download and install the Roblox Connect experience. Mind you, I believe this is still somewhat in testing, so it might work a bit wonky, but nothing too bad. Anyways, hop into Roblox Connect and hit the green “Call a Friend” button at the bottom. You’ll see a list of all your Roblox friends next. All you have to do is hit the green receiver icon next to the name of the person you want to call and wait for them to pick up. That’s all there is to it. You’ve got it from here.

Failed to Start a Call Error Fix

If you get the Failed to Start a Call error in Roblox, that’s probably because you haven’t verified your Roblox account. According to the official announcement, you can do so either via phone-verification or ID-verification. You have to be at least thirteen years old to use the service, and have voice chat enabled in Roblox (and possibly give it access to your camera). If your account doesn’t meet any of these prerequisites, you will get the error. These are all fairly normal safety precautions; the thing with the age and verification requirement. In fact, I’d call them the absolute bare minimum, but that’s beside the point.
