Lords of the Fallen the Lightreaper Sword Bug, Special Attack Not Working

Lords of the Fallen Update v.1.1.348 is now live, featuring “The Way of the Bucket” questline, several new spells, gameplay and matchmaking improvements, performance and AI enhancements, and much more. And while first impressions among fans are generally positive, there are, unfortunately, some new and returning issues as well. For example, the Lightreaper Sword’s special attack is not working again.

“Now, after the 1.1.348 update, the special R1+R2 attack doesn’t work anymore,” says Reddit user Borostepi. “I don’t know if it’s also the case with the other weapons. How hard is it not to mess something up you fixed a week ago?” It seems that this previously fixed bug is back again for some reason. At the time of writing, we don’t know exactly what causes the LotF Lightreaper Sword bug to reappear. The bug appears on both the console and PC versions of the game. Players report they are unable to execute the move both with the mouse and keyboard and controllers.

The Left-Hand Lightreaper Sword and Right-Hand Lightreaper Sword can perform a special multi-hit attack (L1+R2 or LB+RT) that uses up about half of the Soulflay Charge. The Soulflay Charge can be replenished by Soulflaying enemies. The maximum number of Soulflay Charges is three, but after using the special attack five times, the charge indicator will show zero. However, there is still enough charge for one more special attack. This can be verified by using the special attack after Soulflaying an enemy and observing the charge indicator. We will make sure to update the article once the developers confirm they have fixed the “LotF Lightreaper Sword Bug, Special Attack Doesn’t Work” issue.
