How to Solve MK1 Up In…. Klue

The solution to the Up In (or Up In….) Klue in MK1 or Mortal Kombat 1, requires you to complete the phrase. That’s what the ellipsis at the end of the clue is indicating. The ellipsis that has four dots, to my eternal confusion and frustration. But anyway, the most common word that fits the phrase is “smoke,” as in “up in smoke.” Turns out, that’s exactly the solution; that’s the name of Smoke’s second Fatality. So, pick Smoke as your fighter, beat the opponent into mush, and then hit Down Forward Back Y / Triangle on the “Finish Him” screen. You can do it anywhere in the arena; it doesn’t have a distance requirement. And that’s basically all there is to it.

MK1 Up In…. Klue Rewards

Now that we know the solution to the MK1 Up In Klue, what are the rewards you’ll get for your troubles? Four items, as it turns out. The first one is an Epic Relic, the second is a palette swap for Li Mei, Common Kenshi Gear (a set of katanas, really) and two hundred and fifty Seasonal Kredits. A fairly decent haul for the relatively little effort you’ll have to put in. Even if Smoke is not your preferred character (as is my case), you should still be able to tackle this fairly easily. As for the Fatality itself, you might want to practice it a bit beforehand, just in case. Anyways, here’s a list of the rewards.

  • Ghost Shell Epic Relic
  • Law and Algor Common Li Mei Palette
  • Setana Common Kenshi Gear
  • 250x Seasonal Kredits
