How to Get Time Krystals in MK11?

To get Time Krystals in MK11, there are several different avenues to explore. For one, you get ten Time Krystals every time you level up (as pictured above). Then, certain Towers can net you something to the tune of 15 per completed Tower. Lastly, completing Race Against Time events can net you some 200 Time Krystals, provided you’re high enough in the rankings to qualify for the reward.

Of course, there’s always the option to buy them in the store for real money. You can purchase them in bunches of 500, 1150, 2500, and 5600. Of course, the bigger bunch you buy, the less they cost per Krystal. And, considering how slow the drip of Krystals is, you might be tempted to buy them. I personally would strongly advise against that, but ultimately, it’s your decision.

How to Use Mortal Kombat 11 Time Krystals?

You use the Time Krystals in Mortal Kombat 11 in the in-game store. With them, you can purchase Skins, Brutalities, Gear, Intros, and the like, which are on rotation in the store. That stuff can cost anywhere between 750 Krystals for Intros, to 300 for certain pieces of Gear. You can also spend them on the Easy Fatality tokens. 100 Krystals gets you 5 Tokens, 500 get you 40 Tokens, and 1000 Krystals nets you 100 Tokens.

As you can see, grinding out Time Krystals is an extremely arduous task. The game drip-feeds you them, doing its darndest to whittle away at your patience and coerce you into spending real money. Now, the good news is that you don’t have to spend Krystals on the gear and skins etc. at all. The Store will even tell you where you can earn them, be it via Krypt, Towers of Time, or what have you. And Fatality Tokens have been a point of contention ever since their introduction, and I personally would never buy them. But, that’s up to you, really.

So, if you ask me, I’d recommend ignoring the Shop and Time Krystals altogether, and instead focus on unlocking stuff yourself. If, however, you do decide to use them, now you know how to get them and what to use them for.
