Roblox Voice chat has now entered its public beta release. Any players over the age of 13 are able to use the feature. This will let them talk and interact with other Roblox players. It can be used to hook up with friends to play games or make new allies in the Roblox world. Read on as we tell you how to set up Roblox voice chat.

How to Get Voice Chat on Roblox

You do need to be over 13 years of age, and this needs verification. To become verified you need an ID and a smartphone. A driver’s license, passport, or anything that has a photo and name on it can be used. It will need to be an official government or state document, so a student ID, work ID, or transport card will not work. Both Apple and Android smartphones can be used for the smartphone device.

On the main menu, click on the Roblox cog-shaped settings icon in the top right corner. This will bring up a menu, from which you should choose settings. The option to enable voice chat should be under privacy. It will not show if you have not verified your age.

To verify your age click on account info. You will see a button to verify your age. Scan the QR code below with your phone camera.

Open Roblox in your smartphone browser when prompted. You will then join a queue. This generally takes around ten minutes.

You will then find yourself at a verification screen. Three points ask you to prepare a document, make sure you are in a well-lit room, and take a selfie. Allow it to access your camera.

Start by snapping your ID. This may take a few attempts. Once accepted, you will need a picture of the back. When this is accepted, you must take a selfie, placing your face in the frame given. When it is complete, you can go back into settings and enable voice chat.

Before playing, check to see if the experience you are on has Spatial Voice-Enabled. Not all have, and in some instances, it may compromise the enjoyment of the experience itself. This information is at the bottom of the description of the experience. In the bar where you find that date of creation, the server size, and others, a new voice-enabled tab resides. If it reads yes, you are in business.
