NBA 2K22 How to Use Skateboard

To use the skateboard in NBA 2K22, the first step is to equip it. To do that, press L1 on PlayStation or LB on Xbox to bring up the radial menu. Move the cursor to the upper right corner, aka to the symbol of the man on the skateboard. Pretty self-explanatory. This is a much faster way to get around town than walking or running, and you can make it even faster by double-tapping the right trigger/R2 button in time with your foot hitting the pavement. Speaking off, here’s a quick rundown of the skateboard controls.

  • R2/Right Trigger – accelerate
  • Move the left stick down – slow down
  • Left stick – steer
  • X (PlayStation)/A (Xbox) – ollie (aka jump)
  • Circle (PlayStation)/B (Xbox) – dismount skateboard

Those are the basics of moving around on the skateboard. Of course, there’s also the matter of showing off, which you do by pressing L2/Left Trigger and the right stick. That way, you can use your skateboard in NBA 2K22 to perform different tricks, even grind rails if you time it all correctly. Granted, these can be a little difficult to pull off, but it’s kinda fun to try and master the tricks. Even if you can’t figure them out, it’s fine, you don’t really need to.

That about wraps it up. If you need help with anything else in the game, we’ve got a number of other NBA 2K22 guides that you can check out. For example, we’ve got guides like Agent Choice – Which Agent to Choose – Berry & Associates or Palmer Athletics Agency, How to Change from Current to Next Gen PS4 to PS5, and How to Become Shirtless.
