Is Ollie the Prototype in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3?

Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, called “Deep Sleep”, has just been launched, and there are already dozens of fan theories about its story and characters. Probably the biggest mystery lies in the question – who is Ollie in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3? In a somewhat cliche manner, Ollie is a voice that will guide us through our troubles in the third chapter. It communicates with us through the phone and actively helps us get through the puzzles in order to save the good toys. However, while on the surface, Ollie seems benevolent – is it really? Namely, many players speculate that Ollie is none other than the Prototype itself.

Just like Ollie in Poppy Playtime, the Prototype is a faceless character whom we never actually get to see as we advance through the chapters. Up until now, we’ve only seen his robotic arm in a few instances, but not the character himself. The theory that Ollie is the Prototype stems from the fact that after defeating CatNap, Ollie’s voice is no longer heard. The main proof for this theory comes in the form of a tape. On the Prototype’s interview tape, players can hear the Prototype taking multiple characters’ voices and speaking. One of the voices is unquestionably Ollie’s.

However, although this theory sounds exciting, and there are some clues that point in that direction, keep in mind that it is still just a theory.
