How to Get Into Dragonflight Alpha World of Warcraft

The Dragonflight alpha is now live. However, this first round of public alpha testing is extremely limited in scale and it will only be available to a selected group of longtime players. Blizzard will gradually expand the availability of the alpha in the coming months. Thus, even if you sign up for the testing, don’t expect to be immediately granted access. The chances of that happening are rather slim.

Still, that doesn’t mean that you should not sign up for the alpha. The sooner you sign up, the better your chances are to be selected. In order to sign up for the Dragonflight Alpha and Beta, here’s what you need to do.

  • Visit the official Dragonflight website
  • Log in with your Battle.net account (the one you use to play World of Warcraft)
  • Click on the blue “Beta Opt-In” button

And that’s it! You are now registered for a chance to beta/alpha test Dragonflight before it’s released. As we’ve already mentioned the alpha is currently active, but for a very limited group of players. Dragonflight will have a five-month testing window before its release in December 2022. In the current alpha build, players can only test a single zone – The Azure Span, and a related questline. More content will be gradually added and alongside more content, more players will be invited to participate. Thus, just be patient, you will eventually get access to the Dragonflight alpha.
