Age of Calamity Mighty Thistle and Armoranth are items that you need to complete a specific quest line in the new Hyrule Warriors. However, getting your hands on these two plants is easier said than done. You’d assume that they grow all over the place, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Fortunately, we can give you a few tips on how to get Mighty Thistle in Hyrule Warriors, as well as Armoranth, and we’ll tell you where to find them in our Mighty Thistle & Armoranth Location Age of Calamity guide.
How to Get Mighty Thistle in Age of Calamity?
To get Mighty Thistle in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, as well as Armoranth, the best place to look is in the first mission, The Battle of Hyrule Field. As soon as the mission begins and you load in, start cutting grass. It’ll take a while, but you’ll eventually get what you need. The further north you go, to the castle walls, the more Mighty Thistle seems to drop. This is especially true for the northwest corner of the map, around the chu chus, and in the northwest. Again, it might take some time, but you’ll get it. Plus, the surroundings of Hyrule Castle will have immaculate lawns.
Conversely, the further south you go, the higher the odds of getting Armoranth. For example, you can cut the grass in the southeast, near the enemy barricades, as well as to the southwest, near the skull chest. Speaking of, there’s a little cheese that you can do with said chest. If you open it, you’ll receive some useful items. This can include Armoranth and Mighty Thistle. However, as far as we could tell, what you recieve is randomized. So, essentially, you can keep dying and respawning until it drops what you need.
Now, there are two things we have to mention here. The first one is that you need to start the mission as Link, and have a metal sword in order to cut grass. The second is that, in our experience, the locations of both Armoranth and Mighty Thistle in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity seem to be completely random. You’ll have to cut a whole lot of grass. In BotW, thistle was mostly in Faron, and Armoranth was in Akkala, but here, all rules are out the window. Good luck.
