Injustice 2 has debuted in first place on the UK sales chart, taking the top spot from Prey. It also surpassed Farpoint, which is the highest-ranking VR game on this list ever. Other games in the top ten include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, GTA V, and others.
Injustice 2 is the new fighting game by NetherRealm Studios, published by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. The game is set in the DC Universe, and it’s a direct sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us. The story picks up where the first game left off: after the fall of Superman’s regime, the scattered Justice League is trying to restore some kind of order, while villains band together to take over the world. However, a new threat in the form of Brainiac has arrived, and our entire world could be doomed.
Injustice 2 has had a very successful launch and has been getting great reviews pretty much across the board, further boosting the sales. So much so, that it debuted in first place on UK sales charts, taking over from last weeks No. 1 Prey, which is now in fourth place. Injustice 2 is the first fighting game to get into the top spot since Mortal Kombat X. Coming in second place is Farpoint, which is the highest place that any VR title has ever reached on this list.
Following Injustice 2 and Farpoint is GTA V, as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Rocket League, FIFA 17, Prey, etc. You can check out the top ten games on the UK sales chart below. As usual, we have to note that this list only takes sales of physical copies into consideration, no digital ones. The top ten would probably look way different if digital sales were included.
- Injustice 2
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- FIFA 17
- Ghost Recon: Wildlands
- Rocket League
- The Surge
Injustice 2 is now available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can also get the Mobile version for iOS and Android devices. For more information about the game, check out our list of Injustice 2 guides and articles.
