How to Use Glider Skywalker Saga

Learning how to glide in The Skywalker Saga is imperative as many missions will require this manoeuvre in order to progress. Simply put, there will be obstacles that you will only be able to cross with the Gilder. Thus, the Glider is one of the core gameplay mechanics in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but it is not available from the get-go. In fact, it requires some steps to be fulfilled before you are able to use the Glider. In this guide, we will explain everything you need to know about the Glider in The Skywalker Saga.

How to Use Glider in Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga

The Gilder in The Skywalker Saga is part of the Scavenger Tools set. There are three of them – the Breaker Blaster, the Glider, and the Net Launcher. Each has its own unique purpose, and each one needs to be unlocked before you are able to use it. Luckily, the Scavenger Tools don’t need to be unlocked individually. Rather, you will get access to all of them upon fulfilling the prerequisite. There are two ways how can you unlock the Glider and other Scavenger Tools in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Below, we explain both of them:

  • Episode 7 The Force Awakens – In one of the early missions of this episode, called “First Order of Business”, you will be able to unlock the Gilder. Rey and BB-8 will acquire the Scavenger Tools while looking for scrap on a crashed Star Destroyer.
  • Episode 6 Return of the Jedi – You can also earn the Glider in the “Chewbacca Defence” mission. Though, it should be noted that Episode 6 is inaccessible if you haven’t previously completed both Episodes 4 and 5. Because of that, this method is not as fast as the one in Episode 7.

Once you unlock the Glider, you’ll need to complete the tutorial and learn the blueprint. When you complete the tutorial, the Glider (and other Scavenger Tools), will become available to all your Scavenger characters. To use the Glider simply open the Tool menu, selected the Glider, approach the gap you want to traverse and press the appropriate input button shown on the screen.
