However, you might be confused about where to find it. The game will warn you that you have outstanding kick-back you have to collect every now and then, but you might not know where. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to collect money from rackets in Mafia 3.

Mafia 3 Collect Kickback

The solution is quite simple, although easy to overlook. Each underboss base has a big, unique map icon. As they rack up cash for the boss (that’s you), a number will appear beneath the icon. It will say “Kickback: amount”. In order to collect it, you just need to go to the base and look for a envelope with your earnings. For example, in Burke’s case, the envelope is usually on the countertop in front of him.

There’s a cap on how much kickback each lieutenant can accumulate. Once the cap is reached, they’ll stop gathering money until you come and collect what’s already there. This cap will rise as you progress through the game and advance each of your relationships. Another thing to keep in mind: if the kickback cap is reached, you won’t be able to do missions for that underboss until you pick up your racket earnings.

Make sure you deposit the money before you start doing dangerous stuff. Whenever you die, you lose half of your wallet. Put the money in the safe, or call for a courier to do it for you, if you don’t want to risk losing it. Our preferred solution is to collect all the money (from all three underbosses), then deposit it all before continuing on with the destruction and mayhem.
