Monster Hunter World Iceborne Will Be the Game’s Only Expansion

We’re two months away from the launch of Monster Hunter World’s first expansion, Iceborne. It’s going to feature a whole new story chapter for players to explore. You can look forward a whole new ecosystem, Hoarfrost Reach (as it says on the tin, it’s going to be real cold), that’s even going to have new headquarters. And, of course, there will be brand new monsters to fight; some of them are even going to appear in ecosystems that you’ve already gone through.

Now, with all of this content coming your way, I bet you can’t wait to dive in and experience Iceborne in its entirety. Well, I hope you make the absolute most of it, because this is going to be the only expansion for Monster Hunter World. The developers revealed as much during an interview with Game Informer, which you can watch below. Yes, sadly for all the fans, Iceborne is going to round off the Monster Hunter World experience. It’s been a journey, but all things must come to an end.

The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne DLC expansion is coming out on September 6th, 2019 (the Steam version will come out at a later date). You’ll be able to play it on all the platforms that the game is on: PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you’re late to the Monster Hunter World party, then you can get both the game and Iceborne in a bundle with the Master Edition. Or, if you have another version of the game, you can purchase the DLC on its own.
